#1 - Indiana and Ohio distinctive diesels, original, pre-1997 scheme.  They include the black road name, orange stripes, and white road numbers and stripes.
The Indiana and Ohio Railroad Company operates several non-connecting short-lines in southern Ohio and southeastern Indiana.   Vintage diesels travel former mainline and branch-line track in their distinctive paint scheme.  Prototype photo of GP-9 #62 by Stephen Reeves.
The I & O was featured in Railroad Model Craftsman, January 1983, cover, pp. 62-70, and 104.

#2 - Chesapeake and Ohio hood unit diesels.  They include the road name, C&O doughnut heralds, stripes, and road numbers, all in yellow.

#4 - Norfolk and Western mid-60s cabooses.  They include the road name, N&W "hamburger" heralds, stripes, and road numbers, all in yellow, and end safety stripes in red and yellow.
The decals come in two sheets.  The first sheet has the caboose end safety stripes.  The second sheet has the rest of the artwork, includes four valid canned road numbers, and is available in four variations:

Variation # 1 features road numbers 557724, 557556, 557730, and 557541, and is shown in the decal image.
Variation # 2 features road numbers 557782, 557574, 557790, and 557583.
Variation # 3 features road numbers 557756, 557560, 557721, and 557525.
Variation # 4 features road numbers 557748, 557533, 557716, and 557515.
This decal  is a direct replacement for Model Railroad Services' set MRS 260-04.

#5 - Norfolk and Western 3-bay hoppers, 100 ton, class H-11a through H-11d.  They include the road name, large N&W, N&W "hamburger" heralds, and end and side road number jumbles, dimensional class and capacity data, all in white. These cars were built beginning in the mid-1960s.

#6 - Dow Chemical transition era tank cars.  They include the company name, Dow heralds, six end and side road numbers, dimensional, contents, and capacity data, all in yellow.  Three sets of capacity data, for 8,000, 10,000, and 12,535 gallons, are provided.

#7 - Louisville & Nashville late-60s cabooses.  They include the L&N heralds, and road numbers in maroon outlined in black, safety legends and end road numbers in red, safety first in black, and the round L&N safety first logo in yellow and black.  Four valid canned road numbers and a number jumble are provided.

#8 - Great Miami diesels and cabooses.  They include the road name in white with black strikeover and in gold with red strikeover, road numbers in white and in gold, and gold stripes.  Each set will do one GP-30 or 35, one GP-9, and one caboose, 1994-5 era.

The Great Miami Railroad handles the switching duties for Champion Paper in Hamilton, OH.  The Great Miami and Scioto operates on former C&O, B&O, and DT&I tracks in and around Jackson, OH, including a portion of the former B&O Ohio division.

#9 - Transkentucky Transportation RR (TTI) diesels.  They include TTI heralds (with rail to river slogan where appropriate) and road numbers in silver, blue, and yellow.  Additional road numbers are in white.  Each set will decal up to four locomotives, 1981-95 era.

TTI, now a CSX subsidiary, transfers loaded hoppers from CSX at Paris,  KY, to a barge loading facility on the Ohio River at Maysville.  Hills, helpers, hoppers, and growling U-boats make for an interesting run through the Kentucky countryside.

#10 - Chesapeake and Ohio Pullman car name decals, Vol 1. Contains many copies of the word "Pullman", car names and numbers for C&O 10-6 sleepers 2601 through 2630, in "C&O Enchantment Blue"  This set will letter up to eight cars, and does not contain names or numbers previously released by other manufacturers.

#14 - Pere Marquette stripes and numbers for lightweight passenger cars.  The set includes accurate striping, numbers and appropriate lettering, in "C&O Enchantment Blue," for cars from the 1948 "Pere Marquette."  This set includes pre-grouped numbers, baggage/express car lettering, and blue on yellow drumhead decals for the cars released during 1996-7 by NKP Car Company.  Each set includes enough striping and lettering details to finish any two cars in the train.  This set does not include the Pere Marquette road name, as this detail is etched into the car side.

#15 - Interstate steam engines.  They include the road name, in a railroad roman and a stymie font, and three sizes of road numbers, all in dulux gold.  The set will letter up to two locomotives.

#16 - Decals for distinctive Indiana and Ohio diesels, RailTex, post-1997 scheme.  They include orange and white stripes, black and white Operation Lifesaver logo, and white road name, reporting marks, road numbers and stripes.

#26 - Cincinnati Union Terminal diesels.  They include round red and white CUT heralds in two sizes, the art deco road name in two sizes, stripes, zebra stripes, and circled road numbers, all in white.  The set will letter two locomotives, one SW-8 and one Lima-Hamilton.  Click here for prototype images.

#27 - Nickel Plate Road lightweight passenger car decals, in dulux gold, silver, and blue.  The sheet includes road numbers, sixteen "city" car names, special car designations, and six pair of regular "Nickel Plate Road" road names, four silver, one dulux gold.  Thus each sheet does up to five cars.

#30 - Chesapeake and Ohio passenger car lettering decals, 1950 - 1971.  Contains five pairs of road names, various car numbers and head-end car designations, all in "C&O Enchantment Blue," and five pairs of C&O "doughnut" heralds in yellow.  This set will letter up to five cars.  The N-scale set also includes yellow car-side stripes.

N-scale Note: We had sold out of the yellow stripes but still had a few of the lettering sheets. Mike Caum of Northern Central Supply came to the rescue with Champ set S-79, which has correct size yellow stripes. Future shipments of this set will include an S-79 yellow stripe sheet, and the decal image has been revised to reflect this change.

#31 - Chesapeake and Ohio streamlined Hudson steam locomotives.  They include the road name, various C&O doughnut heralds, stripes, and road numbers in four sizes, some reverse image, all in "C&O Enchantment Blue."

These decals were developed for an etched stainless steel conversion kit that was made by NKP Car Company and sold through the Chesapeake & Ohio Historical Society.  NKP Car no longer makes any N scale products.  (My thanks to Brian Fedoroff for this information.)
